Loan or lease?

Two ways to put a machine to work

Crane loanBuilds equity — you own the machine at payoff, and Section 179 expensing may apply (ask your tax advisor). The usual pick for a machine you'll run for years.
Crane leaseLower monthly payment with end-of-term options: return, renew, or buy. Makes sense for firms that cycle machines by project or season. Terms run 24–72 months either way.
Rates & Terms

Rates & terms

Whether you're comparing a crane loan, a lease, or the dealer's finance desk, the structure is what matters. Rates vary by credit profile, time in business, and the machine's age. Representative program structure:

ProgramTypical structure
Application-onlyUp to $100K for qualifying businesses — no financial package
Terms24–72 months
EquipmentNew & used
Transaction size$10K–$500K
StructuresEquipment loans (you own it) and leases (lower payment, flexible end-of-term)

What determines your rate

Four things move an equipment financing rate more than anything else: your credit profile, time in business, the equipment's age and type, and the term length you pick. Newer machines and shorter terms price better; newer businesses price higher than established ones and put money down up front. Application-only deals trade a slightly higher rate for speed and zero paperwork — for most working contractors that trade is worth it.

The honest answer to “what’s the rate?” is that a real quote takes about two minutes of information — that’s the form above. Payment calculators only get you a ballpark, because payment depends on credit, term, and the machine’s age. No obligation, no credit pull to see options.

Rates, terms, and approval vary by applicant and are not guaranteed. All programs subject to credit approval.

FAQ

Crane financing questions

Rough-terrain vs all-terrain — is the approval different?

No — ticket size drives the process, not the crane class. Smaller tickets usually clear application-only; larger machines may take a fuller look, case-by-case up to the program maximum.

What will my monthly payment be?

Payment depends on the price, the term you pick (24–72 months), your credit profile, and the machine’s age — which is why an online payment calculator only gets you a ballpark. The two-minute form returns real options with real numbers: no obligation, no credit pull to see them.

Can I finance a used crane?

Yes — used crane deals are a normal part of the program. Age and hours are considered per deal.

Do boom lifts and aerial work platforms count?

Yes — boom lifts, scissor lifts and other aerial work platforms can be financed on the same application.

I just started my company — can I still finance one?

Newer businesses can qualify — on a higher credit profile than an established business, and with money down up front. How much higher depends on the machine. Established businesses qualify on a lower profile and on larger deals.

Grove, Tadano, Terex, Genie — does the brand matter?

Not to the financing. All major brands qualify on the same terms — compare machines on their merits, not on the dealer's finance desk.

Do you finance cranes nationwide?

Yes — financing is available nationwide. Apply online and fund a machine from a dealer or vendor anywhere in the country.
